15 years of IMPRS Neuroscience
Our international MSc/PhD programs and International Max Planck Research Schools in Molecular Biology and Neurosciences at the University of Göttingen celebrated their 15th Anniversary on Friday, May 29, 2015 and an International Alumni Day on Saturday, May 30, 2015.
We said hello to our alumni from all over the world on this occasion. Together with our students, faculty members, friends and colleagues we celebrated our anniversary, discussed science and career options and thus also strengthened existing scientific networks.
The 15th Anniversary celebrations started with a scientific keynote lecture, given by Prof. Stefan Hell, who received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2014 for the development of super-resolved fluorescence microscopy. The 15th Anniversary ceremony in the university aula was opened by the President of the University of Göttingen, Prof. Ulrike Beisiegel.
The International Alumni Day on Saturday, May 30, 2015 included an Alumni Career Forum at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry, followed by three 'Vision Talks' in which distinguished guest speakers gave a personal view on current and expected future developments in their field
